Customize Your USB Pendrive..!!

We all have a Pen drive... but what makes you start out of the crowd ?? Here is what you can do to atleast differ from others...




Few things you would need before starting this small trick to customise the way the Usb pen drive is shown in My Computer



1.) A suitable Icon Photo ( one with ".ico" extension ).You can get them are vriuos sites listed below

*-freeiconsweb

2.) Now browse in these two sites.. there are over thousands of icons.. So take your time and select the best one which suites your USB pen drive and save the icon file.. Rememebr to save them in .ico extension or say download .ico file from these sites..
3.)Now open your notepad and type as given in the picture below

4.)Now save the file as autorun.inf

5.)Rename the downloaded Icon file (*.ico) as autorun.ico

6.)now copy both the autorun.inf and the autorun.ico to the root of the USB Pen Drive ie in my case the USB drive is G:\ , so i have copied both these files to G:\

7.)Now just remove the USB pen drive and reinsert it.. now your icon will be displayed instead of the usual drive icon... just like shown in the picture below

8.) Now show off your Pendrive to your friends... insert it and let it do the magic...
